I vividly remember Hank spending hours with me on Lake Congamond trying to teach me how to water ski. I was a young teenager, so self-conscious and awkward - not at all athletic. He patiently circled around to start over and over and over every time I crashed dived. It was such a triumph when I finally stayed up on those skis, and I'll be forever grateful to Hank for making me feel worth the effort and helping me achieve a new skill of which I could be proud.

Dad - I want to call you just one more time so I can hear the excitement in your voice when you say "hi June - are you coming up today?" I didn't know that I could feel this pain inside me. I couldn't bear to see you suffer, but I know you're at peace now. I love you and will miss you forever.
